Does adding a photo to a folder move or copy it?

No. Folders are labels kept by the app. The photo stays exactly where it is on your phone, and can be in as many folders as you like.

If I delete a folder or group, do I lose my photos?

No. Deleting a folder only removes the folder. Deleting a group keeps its folders; deleting a general group keeps its groups. Only the Delete action on photos removes files, and Android always asks you first.

How do I rearrange things?

In any list in the Library, press and drag the ≡ handle on the right of a row.

How do I move photos between folders?

Open a folder, long-press to select photos, then tap the move icon and pick (or create) the destination folder.

The app only shows some of my photos.

On Android 14 and later you may have allowed access to selected photos only. Tap Manage on the banner in the Photos tab, or go to Settings → Apps → Tidy Gallery → Permissions → Photos and videos → Always allow all.

I bought Pro — how do I get it on a new phone?

Sign in with the same Google account, open Settings → Upgrade to Pro → Restore purchase. Pro is tied to your Google account, not the device.

How do I get a refund?

Within 48 hours you can request one directly from Google Play (play.google.com → Order history). After that, email us and we'll help.

I'm locked out by app lock.

App lock uses your phone's own fingerprint, face, PIN, pattern or password. If you can unlock your phone, you can unlock the app.

How do I delete all app data?

Go to Settings → Apps → Tidy Gallery → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. This removes your folders and groups but never your photos. We hold no data about you on any server.
