Privacy Policy

Short version: Tidy Gallery works entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. The app has no internet permission; the optional Pro upgrade is bought through Google Play, which handles all payment details.

Who we are

Tidy Gallery ("the app") is developed by AnasDrive ("we", "us"). You can reach us at contact@anasdrive.com.

Information the app accesses

Photos and videos on your device. With your permission, the app reads your photos and videos (and details such as file name, date, size, resolution and device album) through Android's media storage so it can display them and let you organise them. This information is processed only on your device.
Your organisation. The folders, groups and general groups you create, their names and order, and which photos belong to them are stored in a private database on your device.
Settings. Preferences such as theme and grid size are stored on your device.

Information we collect

None. The app does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, does not require an account, and does not request the Android internet permission, so no information can be sent from the app to us or to anyone else. The only outside service the app talks to is Google Play on your device, to check and complete Pro purchases.

In-app purchase (Tidy Gallery Pro)

Tidy Gallery Pro is an optional one-time purchase made through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment under the Google Privacy Policy; we never see your card or payment details. The app only asks Google Play on your device whether Pro has been purchased, and stores a yes/no flag on your device so Pro features work offline. We do not receive or keep your name, email or purchase history.

App lock

If you turn on app lock (a Pro feature), unlocking uses Android's own fingerprint, face or screen-lock prompt. Your biometric data never reaches the app — Android only tells it whether unlocking succeeded.

Sharing

We do not share data with third parties. If you use the app's Share or Open with actions, the photo you chose is handed to the app you select, and that app's own privacy policy applies.

Permissions

Google Play billing (com.android.vending.BILLING) — to buy and restore Tidy Gallery Pro.
Biometrics (USE_BIOMETRIC) — only used for the optional app lock.
Photos and videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older Android versions) — to show and organise your media. On Android 14 and later you can choose to allow access to selected photos only.
Storage write access (Android 9 and below only) — so you can delete photos you choose to delete.

Deleting a photo always shows Android's own confirmation before anything is removed.

Data retention and deletion

All app data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete any folder, group or general group inside the app, or remove all app data by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. Deleting app data never deletes your photos. The app's organisation data is excluded from cloud backup.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Security

Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security (screen lock and encryption).
